The "34th Georgia" is a family-oriented organization of people who are interested in the history of the American Civil War. We participate in "living history" events and battle reenactments around the Southeast, with our primary interests focusing on the events of the "Western Theater" of the war in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Most of us live in North Georgia or the Northern counties of metro Atlanta, but we have and welcome members from other areas of the Southeast. As living historians and reenactors, we portray the 34th Georgia Infantry Regiment, Company B, when we dress as Confederate, and the 6th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment, also Company B, when we dress as Federal. We take great pride in doing an accurate, authentic portrayal of both units at various periods in the War. We are very family friendly, and keep our camp area accordingly. Anyone wishing to try the great hobby of Historical Reenacting is welcome to come and visit our camp, or contact us to "dress out" for a battle and see what it's really all about.
